June 16th, 2019, felt like one of those quiet, serene moments in our relationship. Pete was immersed in a creative project at a friend's place, and even though we were apart, he sent me a photo of himself wearing a beanie he’d picked up that day. It was a small gesture, but one that meant a lot. We always shared pictures of the things we were doing when we weren’t together, making the distance feel smaller. It was like no matter how far apart we were, he was always close.
